Pet Kennel

Many dogs can travel without a kennel, but it’s important to have one on hand in case of emergencies while traveling. As scary as it is, a pet owner should prepare for the worst. A pet kennel will give the dog a place to go in case of an accident; emergency personnel may not be prepared to care for an animal, so a carrier is a necessity.

Cats that travel should be in a pet kennel. Cats can become spooked easily and they may dart into an unwanted place in the car such as under the seat or below the gas and brakes. Keeping the cat in the kennel will help keep them calm and prevent mishaps.

Air travel with pets will definitely require a pet kennel, one that is approved for flight. The kennel will need to have a fully latching door, hard walls, and adequate airflow. Pets that are carried on may be brought on the plane in a soft carrier, but only with the airliner’s approval.
