Would a serval or Savannah cat get along with a domestic housecat? |
my mom has my large female spayed domestic housecat, she is laid back and isn't fisty at all. she's 8 years old. and just chills on the couch all day, or rubs against people. if i adopted a serval or savannah cat would they attack her or try to eat her? or would it be possible they could get along??? because if its not possible they COULD mabye get along, then i wouldnt want to adopt one until my kitty is long gone...i love that girl. I'd suggest that you don't get a Serval. They are wild regardless if you get Servals raised by humans since they were born. They smell bad and spray. If you really want one, be prepared for a lot of work. If you can handle it, I'm sure it would be worth it in the end. Ok first off servals are wild cats. A savannah is a hybred , a cross breeding of a type of wild cat and domestic cat. Both servals and savannahs are larger than your normal domestic cat and are more agressive. I don't think your Mom's cat would be very happy if you brought either of those home. Yes, a lot of serval owners also have domestic cats. |
