Ragdoll Kitten with senitive stomach 15 weeks old?

My Ragdoll Kitten 'Dexter', I've noticed Dexter has had diarrhea and bloody stools lately, I have reported it to the vet, I have fasted him for a full 24 hours and feed him chicken and rice, which he did become good, and then I've tried mixing in Purina one kitten food with the chicken and rice, to get him back on the dry food. I notice diarrhea again, did i change the food too quickly? How many days do I have to slowly change the food? If some one could make a suggestion that would be great. I'm really concerned, this it my first pedigree kitten.

Bloody stools are not a good sign in any creature; your kitten is bleeding somewhere along his digestive and/or excretory tract. Did your vet tell you to make him fast and then eat chicken and rice? If he's having problems again, I would contact an emergency vet clinic tonight to see what they say.

I don't think I would try feeding it purina again asthis seems to be the cause of the problem. Try switching to a better brand. Your vet can recommend a new brand.

Please just take the kitty to an after-hours pet hospital. Is the kitty worth it to you? This needs immediate attention.

i also have a ragdoll this happened to another cat of mine however, i tried rice as well and it made it worse to ween it back to real food you need to slowly do it for at least two weeks my cats problem turned out to be an infestation of flees even seeing a dozen usualy means there are dozens more and eggs get some shampoo to kill both and if he is less than 8 or 12 weeks you need a kitten shampoo he may just be a sick kitty and need temporary or permanent meds good luck
