Tell me how good ragdoll cats are plase?

Hi
i really would like a ragdoll cat.
BUt my mum is not so keen so i have done some research and found out how perfect our house would be 4 a ragdoll!
so please can everybody post a comment saying al the good thnkgs about ragdolls and if there are any bad things then also put those! THanks 4 the help emz xxx

also could some one also tell me a breeder in england in the south west or near thankx xxxxxxxxxxxx

My mate had ragdoll cats they are so cute and adorable they like your company and sometimes they meow to you, they go all floppy when you pick them up, they have the most beautiful appearance which is were i come to the downsides, it would be wise to keep them as a house cat because people steal pedigree and especially beautiful cats, you will need to keep uptodate with their medical history beacuse sometimes pegidree's can become more sickly than other cats. I love their blue eyes!

I myself have a maine coon the bigest domestic cat their is, they are simular to ragdolls in their freindly nature but require more attention its like having a 3 yr old in the house :)

Ok if you want a ragdoll get one but what about all those hundreds of poor cats abandoned just before Christmas in small catteries waiting for a new home. Your home would be perfect for them too. Take your mum to the RSPCA and pick one out together. If you are buying a pedigree it is hugely expensive. Get a nice moggie from the cattery. We got both our cats one the same day. Willow looks ragdoll-esque and is wonderful. Thai is a Maine Coon and is the most beautiful marked cat ever.
Please reconsider as there are so many cats that have been treated dreadfully while pedigrees have no difficulty in getting nice homes.

I've never had a ragdoll, used to have a ginger persian though.

this site might help http://www.ukrcc.co.uk/

we had rag dolls they are so loving and cute, they are called rag dolls because when you pick them up they flop like a rag doll does, but they need grooming to keep their coat tangle free, we used to breed them and they are really lovely cats, but I'm sorry i don't know of any breeders where you are, we used to sell them for 150-200 pounds but if your mum really does not want you to have one maybe it might be best to wait untill you have a home of your own then get one, i have not seem a bad tempered ragdoll, i hope this helps in some way good luck honey

I have a ragdoll, and she is big, beautiful and super affectionate. I feel blessed to have such a beautiful cat. She has the funniest mannerisms too--she often reminds me of the kitty on the Pepe le' Pu cartoons--she is very animated with her facial expressions and how she holds out her paws and she will bounder around the house instead of just running. I get so much enjoyment from her--and she is also very cuddley in the bed!!! No better cat in the world as far as I am concerned!! Will say a little prayer that your mum gives in:)

its a youtube clip tells u every thing
gudluk!

there briliant, housecat so no fleas!

I have a rescued ragdoll who is very friendly and a real show off. He isn't as "clever" as my Burmese-type, and isn't really a lap cat - he prefers to sit beside me. I'd agree though that there are so many unwated cats with amazing personalities so try and wait for an older cat or rescued one rather than going for a kitten.

A Ragdoll is a stunning cat, if you don't mind how heavy they become. They are also a hybrid, and are missing the defense gene, so it's strictly indoors since they simply lie down when attacked, and do not fight back.
They are amazing cats, very loving, and playfull as well. I sat for a friend on holliday and they had this huge Ragdoll, immeiately came to me and wanted scratches and slept with me too, it was a really great experience.
