Why are ragdoll cats?

whynarenthe ragdoll bread so floppy. mines just a kitten at the moment and he just lays all over me on his back fully stretched out and so soft. hope this last when he is older to

The answer is in the name 鈥?Ragdoll.

This breed of cat is beautiful. If you like a cat who enjoys being carried around, this is the breed to have. Not all cats enjoy being carried around. But the Ragdoll, as soon as you pick it up, will go limp in your arms. So, you can carry it around.

It will be as playfull as any other cat will be, and you should get toys for it to play with; it's fun and good exercise. They are gentle by nature, so they are quite good with children.

To fully answer your question, yes, it will last when he is older. He will always be floppy like a rag doll!!!!

That's just the nature and temperament of the breed. It's normal. I think it will last.

Ragdolls are by nature very close and loving cats. The breed is very mellow and he will be a large cat. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are the two largest domestic breeds. Enjoy him.

It has a lot to do with their temperment...The breed of cats determens that too.. Siamese cats often have bad tempers and only get along with one person....Ragdolls are docile like yours. They are even tempered and make a great companion. He will most definatly keep his temperment as he gets older...
My tabby cat's temperment is the same...but I beleive it was how I raised her... I was kind and gentle with her as a kitten... I also taught her to play "gently"... So you may also be an awsome pet owner who got your cat from a loving environment...

My Raggie is almost a year old now and is still really floppy. When he was a baby it worried me because if I dropped him he wouldn't try to catch himself. I've learned not to drop him... LOL

its jusgt in there geans to be that way they are very lazy and the best kinda cathave have with babys and todlers becuz when they pick them up they dont fight it just become limp like a ragdoll. thats kinda how they got there name. yes your kitten will be like that when he gest older just as lazy as everlol

Give your cat a lot of love and your cat will have a sweet personality when they are older.

I guess it's to do with their breed. Otherwise I don't know

Hope this helps.
