I was thinking of adopting an ocicat (its a cat breed) what do you think? |
http://www.cfainc.org/breeds/profiles/oc... explains what they are and shows a pic, should i get one or a diffrent breed? If not and ocicat what type? they are soooooo cute, I've always wanted one sure, go for it. Ocicat? Honey, If I can't pronounce it I don't want it! I think thats a GREAT idea since they are so uncommon and unique and will most like greatly need a loving home... If you dont get an Ocicat go to an animal shelter for sure becuase pet stores get all of the publicity they need and have multiple people going after a kitten at once. The adoption center needs owners more desperately than you could know. they're very trainable and well behaved cats. u should be fine While the Ocicat looks wild, its temperament is anything but ferocious. It is a lot like a dog in that it is absolutely devoted to its people. The Ocicat is not a demanding, clinging-vine type, but is confident as well as dedicated to its owners. Most Ocicats are also quite extroverted around strangers, not at all bashful about checking out the possibilities for a few playmates or a lap to curl up on when visitors come to call. They are cute cats. But, you could adopt from a place that has stray unwanted cats...so instead of telling the breeder more 'pure' breeds are needed, more cats that need needing can be taken care of.. Ocicats are a beautiful breed but purebreds tend to have more wrong with them health-wise than a domestic. Here's a better idea: go to your local shelter and adopt one! You'll feel better knowing you're giving a homeless animal a better life and possibly saving a life!! i recommend Norwegian Forest Cat. thats a great idea i love cats so go for it that cat is so cute you should get it Yeah , they are cute It's very handsome, but how about just rescuing a regular domestic cat from the shelter? Sure. They're great for people that also love dogs but can't have one. Be sure to train it on a harness so you can take it for walks! |
