Ocicat with swollen eye and sneezing... see details?

My Ocicat woke up with her left eye extremely swollen and leaking. She also has constant sneezing. She is very, very frightened of leaving the house. It's Sunday, and our vet is closed and the ER is a couple cities out, which would scare her even more. I am wondering if there are any at-home treatments to hold her over until tomorrow.

She has never gone outside before, but if she has to get in the car, etc. she gets scared.

I'd take her to the Emergency vet. If she is frightened of going out I would bet that some other critter out there may have hurt her. Why can't you keep her inside? Indoor cats do just fine inside.

Is your cat allergic to anything? Have you put anything new in the area where it plays? Cats can be allergic too. It is allergy season for them as well. You should take it to the vet ASAP. If the vet says its nothing wrong and the cat still sneezes and gets swollen eyes, try to add 1 half and eye dropper full of baby benadryl to 1 ouce water and give it to your cat. I have used it a million times with mine. It has the same effect on them as it does on us, so it will make her sleep. WHne she wakes up she should be fine.
