Mastiff/shepherd mix?

does anyone have experience with mastiff/shepherd mixes, their temperment, behavior, trainability, size, etc?

i'm thinking a mastiff/shepherd mix might be pretty much like a mastiff but a little smaller and a little cuter.... so let me know if i'm wrong...

I have a mastiff/shepherd mix! i got him in december. his name is jack and he is seven months old. he is a sweetiepie, huge teeth and head, beautiful, just BEAUTIFUL! likes to chew a lot but he was pottytrained in one and a half weeks [he rings a bell by the door when he needs to go out]. likes toys, VERY good watchdog already! if you want the cutest, sweetest dog around, a mastiff/shepherd is the way to go.

Mastiff have a very aggressive nature. Two Bull Mastiff's killed a teacher out here in Cali a while back. Shepherds are great watchdogs and very loyal. No dog breed out there can compare to Shepherds when it comes to training and loyalty hence why Police Departments use them.

MY friend has a Mastiff and They are Quick learners so Teaching them How TO sit and stay when they are smaller could be beneficial

actually mastiffs are gentle dogs, if properly trained. shepherds can also be good dogs (though all the ones i know are neurotic and unpredictable {not well bred}) it would probably look like a form of a mastiff (their genes tend to be dominate).

since it would be a mixed breed, its temperament would depend greatly on early socialization and training.

1st of all..Jay K-mastiffs do NOT have an agressive nature! Look it up & do research! They are one of the most docile species. A shepard is more agressive than a mastiff...(when you buy a home, the insurance co will ask if you own a rott, shepard or pit bull-cuz of the agressive nature!)
Any way-you should be good with a mix like that-but remember a lot of it is in how you raise the dog!
