Mastiff question...? |
Is it true that you have to train a Mastiff differently than other dogs? And also my Mastiff is about 2 years old and is not house trained (When he was a puppy my dad got really sick with cancer so he didnt get properly trained) Is there anyway to "Retrain" him...every time i ever let him in its like he gets this uncontrollable urge to crap everywhere...and he is a mastiff so its aaalllooott of crap... And i want to be able to bring him inside but so far he is making it impossible. Oh trust me i know he Sure aint the sharpest tool in the shed..If he was human he would be Blonde! Please don't hate me for saying this, but everyone I know who has had one says they are stupid dogs. I've never had one, so I don't know if that is true, but other people have told me they are not easily trained for anything. try bringing him in for very short periods & gradually working up. take him out every 15 minutes or so for awhile. sounds like he is very nervous when inside. I have a mastiff and he is not stupid, but is very lazy and stubborn. As far a trainging goes, if you enroll him in a obedience class and your are consistent on working with him every day he can be trained. |
