Maltese owners/people who've been around Maltese? |
Anyone who has been around a Maltese or has owned one (Please nobody answer if you have one of those cheap "designer" dogs that is some sort of mutt from a BYB) does your Maltese seem "EMO?" People say that they are, but my puppy is as far from "EMO" as the Sun is from Pluto. And none of the Maltese I have met seem "EMO" to me. Has anyone met a Maltese that is "EMO?" I know three of them and one malti-poo. One of them is decidedly emo, but the others are not at all. I don't own one myself, but, as a groomer, I come in close contact regularly to at least a dozen different maltese and/or maltese mixes. The common factor in the EMO behavior with all of these dogs (and all other breeds to be fair) is the owner. I have three that come together every 4 weeks, and none of them have behavioral problems,,they are not related to each other at all, but have the same owner. Then there is the pair of neutered males that belong to the same owner that are both unrelated,,,and psycho. Then come the single dog owners,,,,when the person walks in the door for the first time I KNOW what the dog will be like after speaking to the owner for 2 minutes. If the owner has to smooch their baby and bring their own blankies and toys and shampoo and clothes for the dog (etc etc) the dog is unbalanced at the least,,the longer they've owned the dog,,the more of a terror the dog is. This really goes for all breeds,,,but little breeds are the most babied and least disciplined. |
