Maltese Owners- Maltese temperament???

I have a precious 11 month old Maltese female. My husband and I have had dogs in the past but this one is by far the smartest, sweetest, and aware. I was wondering if anyone else had a maltese that makes facial expressions? Her favorite one is to stick her tongue out. When she is playing it is just a little bit but when she is puzzled she sticks it all the way out. She also smiles, smirks, and has a sad/afraid look. She really curls her lip up to smirk at you. CRAZY. I was just wondering if this is typical or if she is a prodegy dog and I should have her in magazine adds and commercials.

All Maltese must be that way. We have males but they are too smart. The curling up the lip is something they all do. They are very expressive with their eyes and special looks. I swear they know everything you say to them. They are almost TOO human.

I had to add to this......My older one talks also. When you don't pay attention he starts with making talk to you. If you ignore him, it goes into barking.

Malties are extremely expressive. If she will 'perform' on cue, she might enjoy doing commercials.
