Maltese how do you get a Maltese to stop crying when its in her kennel?

how do you make a maltese stop crying when its in its kennel and she does not need to go potty she does it all night and never gets quiet.

If you have checked on her, and she doesn't need to go out to relieve herself, then ignore her.....you are teaching her to continue to cry and whine by giving her attention. You might want to check out some k9 obedience and training books before you train in the wrong behaviors unknowingly. Good Luck.

Make it nice and cozy in there. Hang treats from the top of the kennel to keep her busy. Make it cozy like a den to her.

Do you routinely go and comfort her/pick her up when she cries? If so, she's learned that all she needs to do is cry and make a fuss and you'll come and pay her attention

If she's a young puppy and you've only recently gotten her, she'll be adjusting to your home and getting used to sleeping without her mother and litter - give it time and she'll soon settle, as long as you're consistent with not allowing her crying to evoke the response that she wants.

Try putting a towel or blanket over the kennel that helps in some cases. Give her some toys and some treats when you put her in. She will eventually get the idea that you are not going to take her out if she crys (you don't let her out if she's crying right?) Have patience and get some earplugs, but don't let her out .
