Maltese puppy acting weird? |
i'm a new male maltese puppy owner. It has been diarrhea for 2 days since it came home with me 3 days ago. and it rarely barks unlike other maltese puppies. it only has a small soft baby's barking when it first saw u in the morning. it's not very active either. after a while walking around the house, it'd sleeps through the afternoon. at night, we put it in its cage,it's no rejective either,it'd just quietly resting on it's mat in the cage. If you just got the puppy, it has to re-adjust to its new surroundings. That includes the type of food and water it ingests also. My Maltese puppy was so quiet and shy for the first few days, but as he got used to his new living space, he adjusted quite nicely. A lot of things can cause the puppy to have diarrhea, especially in a new environment. Just the type of water alone that you give him can cause him to have it until his digestive system get used to it. Give it a little more time, and if nothing changes, then go to a vet. take tohte vets first thng tomorrow as after 2 days you don't want to wait. diarhea could be a virus, parvo, worms or coccidia or possibly something else a maltese can dehydrate quickly so use an eye dropper or syringe to give her teh fluids she needs if she isn't drinking freely. |
