DOG LOVERS ::: Maltese, Pappilion, or Min-Pin? (teacups)? |
I'm looking to get a teacup Maltese or Pappilion. I'm a min pin lover so I'm definately getting one MinPin and then two small teacups of either the Maltese or Pappilion. I'm even open to the YORKIES as well too but need some insight from owners of these types of dogs. MAlTESE bet's them by far there so cute and tiny i hope u have fun with what ever breed u pick and no maltese's r just white sorry. Oh and u can go to animal planet and they have breed information but it's really up to what ur lifestyle is oh and for ur other ? yes chihuahua's r really cute and they come in all color's and they r big lap dogs they like to go where ever u go or they family good luck there are teacup-yorkie.. IMHO I love Pappilions ,,,they have a lot of personality and they snuggle wondrously! Then too..most dogs are great as long as they are treated well and are loved. why teacup? teacups tend to be unhealthy and frail. Of these two, I would go with a Maltese, but I highly recommend a toy poodle. We have three of them, and they are great. Mine will fetch a tennis ball. Poodles are also hypoallergenic which means that you can't be allergic to them. That way if you ever have a guest over that is allergic to dogs, they won't be allergic to your little Fido. teacup is a term that IRRESPONSIBLE backyard breeders give to pups that do not conform to their breed standard, most are unhealthy ... i would avoid anything and anyone selling TEACUP anything. Do not go for a dog that is claimed to be "teacup" sized or "very tiny"! These dogs are at very high risk to many health problems because breeders are trying to make the dog smaller and smaller! Any good breeder will not try to sell you a "teacup" dog! Min pins are hyper little things. I don't like the personality. Maltese are just white. There is no such thing as a "teacup" other than to pour tea into. It's a made up name by backyard breeders to get a higher price for the puppy. What you want is a runt or an under size Toy breed. When dogs are bred to be smaller than they are meant to be you're asking for health problems. As far as Maltese white is the only color. I'm sure you know Papillons are many different colors. So please find a breeder that breeds for quality not for the all mighty $$$. You can go to http://www.akc.org to find a breeder in your area. Good luck finding your perfect puppy;^) Beware terms like "teacup". There are no "teacup" breeds or varieties, it's just a fancy name for a runt. If the "teacup" dogs purposely bred to be extra-small, they often have health problems. Toy class dogs are small enough as they are. There is NO SUCH THING AS TEACUP! I have a Maltese am in LOVE! they are great, smart lil companions. they are only white unless they are mix. never heard of the other breed. There is no such thing as a "tea cup" anything unless you are talking about something you drink tea out of. Do lots of research on TOY breeds and then decide from there, but don;t buy anything until you have researched. Go for the Maltese, if you want to spend a lot of money on grooming or learn to do it yourself,They are a beautiful natured dog though, The Min Pin being a short coated breed is easy to look after, And Please everyone the is no such thing as "TEACUP"puppies, they are litter runts, and weak, and backyarders breed from them, they should be outlawed! Maltese breeder , first I must clarify to you and any other person thinking that a teacup of any variety is a breed. They are NOT RECOGNISED. they are dogs that are genetically subnormal they suffer from heart murmurs and other diseases assocaited with dwarfism. |
