Who is going to be watching Eukanuba this weekend? What breed are you cheering for?

Sadly... I am not even the best at being loyal to my own breed..if I see something that looks better that is who I would like to see win.... I really can appreciate a well put together and correct animal! it is a beautiful thing

I know everyone in my breed who's going to be there, but I do have a favorite Siberian in mind. :)

When it comes down to Groups and BIS, I'm not a breed loyalist. Like you, I appreciate any nice moving, well-built dog. I was seriously rooting for the PBGV at the last Westminster -- robbed by a "so-what" Springer. Oh, well.

I can't help it....I cheer for the AmStaff. I guess I'm just partial to them.

My dogs LOVE to watch dog shows...I'm sure The Boys (My husband and 2 dogs!) will be watching. Go Aussies!

ADDED: Ahh! Dang! I should have known it would have been on Animal Planet, I feel dumb for asking such a question! >_< High school and college is taking over my brain!

I'll keep a look out for it this weekend, I have no classwork to do! I love dog shows. :)

I cheer for them all. I can't watch before the class deciding best in show because I get too loud yelling (I am louder than when men watch football.) But I try to see what the judge sees so that I can learn. I also hit it up online to try and figure out what I missed.

Actually I have a favorite breed in every group
I could care less about BIS, seems like judges will usually put up the dogs they know.

Got to be the Border Terriers

Although I like almost all the different breeds of dogs shown, of course I gotta cheer for the doxies!

Saint Bernards and Jack Russel Terriers!

Favorite breeds to cheer for... Samoyeds and Bernese of course.... Not that THAT will help them in the group.. the reality with the Sams is that the very best Sams are owner handled.. and often breeder/owner handled... which is not much of a help in the group ring. So, if the best Sam makes it out of breed... its a high hill to climb in group. And if a handler and dog win breed... eww bleh!! In fact, I can honestly say, there is not a Sam in the Top 10 handled by a pro handler that I would consider structurally and temperamentally adequate.

I love watching the show... and root for a couple of dogs in each group... All I can say is: Give me a dog who can move the way its breed should (if it can't move, the structure is WRONG) and looks like it can actually do the job it was intended for.

Well, I don't think I will be cheering for my pin breed, because for some reason the red one always gets in and that is my least favorite color, so....I could cheer for the ACDs, but they NEVER win-just because AKC finally let them in they won't let them forget they are still "second class", so I guess this time it's going to have to be the Irish Wolfhound! Last show I watched, I forgot which one, they had a great looking Wolfhound-hope he's there again!
