What gives the barn that smell? |
Barns have this smell thats almost imposible to describe. What gives it that smell? Just a fun question you ccan even give me your opinion if you like the smell, and free 2 points :) I love the smell of the barn!!! I am there almost every day. I would sleep there. The smell is almost everything in the barn really. Such as manure, tack, hay, and the horses. Soap too when you give them a bath. But it is mostly the manure, tack and hay. the mix of the urine and etc. along with the general smell of the animals, mixid in with the smell of the wood and such I think it's a combination of leather (saddles, bridles), horse sweat, and hay. Some smells are aged; buried in the wood of the stalls and the barn itself, and some are fresh. And it's always wonderful. I think its the combined smell of manure, sawdust, hay, and leather I know what exactly what you're talking about....it's partly wood shavings, but some leather, some horse manure, some horse sweat, some dust....just a really good smell. no i dont like that smell i like the smell of pine shaving. Ahhhh..... The Sweet Smell Of Horses! Don't You Love It? Horses, manure, hay, wood, leather... sweat... basically all that jumbled into one. Manure , horse urine , and lots and lots of hay ! I kinda like it too!! It's a whole cornucopia of odors; manure, leather, hay, grain, horses, mud, grass, cats, dust, mold, wood, and tack polish!!! Most people who don't like horses or don't care for them think the smell of the barn is gross. I really like the smell. well a du the horses and hey and feed it smell s SOOOO good! Ahhh, The lovely smell of manure, hay, straw and horses all mixed together... i think its a mixture of dirt and manure and everything else that horses smell like. it smells pretty good, huh? :-) all the smells of horses!! the manure and pee and the wood and wood shavings and the leather and just the general smell that horses have Duh, the horses!! What else would it be????? Also manure. I love WIlly. its gorgous. honestly if it came as an air freshner it would be all over my house. |
