My cat is biting every wire in the house what should i do??

my cat bites through everything from headphones to cell phone chargers help!!!

When he starts to chew on something get a chew toy and show it to him he will probably start chewing on it and forget about chewing on wires and stuff

P.S Dont buy only one toy since he might get tired of it.Get about 5 of them.They dont cost much.

spray him with a spray bottle or smack him hard enough thats he stops and say no he could eletricute himself! get him some chew toys and catnip mice my cat goes crazy over that

Get a water gun that shoot at least 40 feet. Sit on the sofa with the loaded water gun. Wait for the perfect moment and shoot!!! It works. I had the same problem with my cats.

You've gotten some decent answers; unfortunately, none of them work all that well. I know that I personally would NOT want to be squirting water at a cat that is chewing on an ELECTRICAL cord, du-uh. LOL

You have a couple other options in this situation. One, get some citrus-flavored and scented deterrent; cats generally do not like the taste of citrus, or the smell, and they will avoid it when at all possible (but try telling MY cats that, they just don't listen LOL). The other option, which worked like a CHARM for me, is to get some black electrical tape, and wrap the wires with it. Cats hate the taste and the way it feels in their mouths. Your last option, which is not an option for many people, is to simply get another cat to keep the first one too busy to get into trouble. My mom had my cord-biter for a couple of years; when I brought her another of my cats to watch, all of a sudden the cord biting stopped; and he never started again, not once, in the several years before he died. A bored cat is a troublemaker, believe me.

After you take steps to deter the cat, buy him/her an assortment of toys. PetSmart by me has these cheap little catnip "pillows", and the foam balls are also a big hit with my cats. Small mice work well too; get your kitty a variety of toys so he/she won't get bored and start chewing.

The only real problem is the wheel. It isn't solid so it can hurt their legs. The cage & wheel also look like they might not be big enough for a full grown syrian hamster.
