How much dose a guinea pig cost?

I need to know how much a guinea pig costs and how much the food costs and the water and the cage

I think they are more...20 or 25. Cost has gone up over the years, as I bought a hamster a year ago for twenty...and guinea pigs are bigger=higher cost, I think.

Food prolly 6 dollars for a bigger bag... vitamins for the water, maybe 3 dollars (it lasts awhile)... cage, well I wouldn't get a ten gallon. I'd get something bigger, so maybe like $30=40? Maybe get a cage thing, not an aquarium...I'm not sure on that one, but guinea pigs are a lot bigger than hamsters. Ask someone at the store if you need to.

Also I'm not sure, but do guinea pigs run on wheels or in balls outside the cage? Those can be 10 each but are good exercise.

I would also have some kind of carboard or a wood play thing or both in the cage because they need to gnaw on things to wear down their teeth.

Litter is about $4? or so but DON'T get the CEDAR KIND!!! It killed my hamster, because he was allergic to it!!! The oils are bad for rodents and cedar shavings should not be allowed!!!

Also the cost of a water bottle is maybe $3 for a smaller one, but make sure you watch that your water bottle does NOT leak... as if the shavings get wet, your guinea pig could get sick.

I honestly would get the supplies at a place like Walmart, and just get the guinea pig at a petco or petsmart... the items are more expensive at petco or petsmart.

Hope this helps some.

ummmmmm i would say some are close to about 10-15$$$
i used to have one but that was a long time-ago
if yur goona get one they would make great pets!

at a pet store piggies run around 25 dollars. Food is around 5-10 a bag, and then the hay is around 10 dollars for a big bag. Cages vary in price...mine cost about 60. water bottles are under 5, and they need a food bowl and toys, and bedding

The only real problem is the wheel. It isn't solid so it can hurt their legs. The cage & wheel also look like they might not be big enough for a full grown syrian hamster.
