Anyone have a flat coated retriever?

Mine is a love!

Yes we have a female flat coated retriever. Her name is Scruffy. We got her from our local pound. We had lost another black dog & put an ad in the paper. On Christmas eve day a man from the pound called to say they might have our dog. We went to look but she wasn't the one we lost. She had to stay in the pound til the day after Christmas. We went & got her, took her to get her shots & she was ours. That was 3 years ago & she has been the best "kid" we could ever ask for. Wouldn't give her up for all the money in the world.

Oh yeah, and the people at the pound had her listed as a lab mix. They didn't even know she was a pure bred! And truthfully, we didn't either til she was about 6 months old & we saw a dog just like her in the akc westminster dog show. But now that we know what they are & how they are, we'll probably get another one someday. They are the coolest "kids" to have. Ours is a real kissy face. She loves to give kisses.

No but I have a golden and a lab. they are similar. I love flat coated retriever. I love all retrievers.
