Can anyone help me identify my cats breed?

He is very loud and affectionate with tiger-like stripes. He also has 7 toes on his two front paws. here is a picture of him

He is a very handsome kitty!

Without knowing his ancestry, the only thing we can say is his breed is a domestic short hair (DSH).

The tiger like stripe markings describe his coat coloration which is 'tabby'. I can see his white bib, so you could say his color is brown/black tabby and white. The first link gives more information about tabby coat patterns

The extra toes make him unique. The name for it is polydactyl. The second link is an article explaining more about his 'extra toes'.

Purrs to you and kitty.

Hi Jenny,

You are so welcome. Give kitty a chin scratch from me.

Purrs,
Patty Report It

Looks like just a Domestic Shorthair to me.

Yep, that's a cat...A purdy one too ! :-)
He's not a particular breed, but he's very handsome !

He is just a domestic short hair tabby. The seven toes is a birth defect but he should get around fine. We had one like it and man that cat could jump lots higher than his siblings!

cant see all of her markings and size very well, but looks to me like a persian tabby X.................pretty kitty!!!!!!!!

Polydactyl domestic shorthair... fancy name for a garden variety cat with extra toes : ) he looks like Morris

Tabby but can't tell if he's a gray or brown; it depends on his nose color. Did you know the skin of his nose is called leather, as well as the skin of the feet? The extra toes is called polydactyly - not that uncommon but the most famous ones belonged to Ernest Hemmingway, I believe. He's really pretty!

The picture is small and out of focus but from what I can see he looks like a Mackerel Tabby with White Domestic Shorthair - in otherwords, no particular breed. He's in good company, though - 97% of the cats on this planet are of no particular breed.

Unless you have papers from a breeder confirming his pedigree, he is a mixed breed which are referred to as Domestic Short (or Long) Hair. His coat pattern is tabby and the article below will help you identify which of type of tabby markings he has.

Polydactyly, or extra digits, is a common trait among cats and you can find out more about them in the article below.
