BiCHON FRISE????? |
I have a Bichon Frise but I dont feel like I am caring for him enough. I brush him atleast twice a week for about an hour. Thats about it. I also give him baths every 2 weeks. What else should I be doing and what should I do or give him so he can have a long life? I also walk him about two to three times a week. I keep my bichon frise clipped short because of the climate (charleston, sc) and because he is still young and gets in all sorts of mess. He loves rolling in the dirt and grass. I use shampoo for sensitive skin. My dogs love to chew so I keep plenty of healthy things to chew and have removed all tempations. He once ate a red rag that was in the neighbor's yard. So keep the yard and the house safe. That will keep him safe. You are doing great. to me you sound like your doing fine keep up what you are doing.. Good luck Feed him...walk him...take him to the vet regularly, play with him. Brushing and bathing isn't all there is to having a dog and keeping it healthy. Mind you, that is very good to do because if he gets matted breakdown of the skin could occur. Sounds like you are doing a good job and as far as grooming goes that's great. Other obvious things (that you are probably doing already) keeping your dog on a good health diet, regular exercise, mental simulation (toys etc) and socialisation. |
