Bengal pregnancy? |
my bengal cat is heavily pregnant it is her first litter she has been twitching or shaking for the past week and today i noticed there was stringy pink blood hanging from her. i have been worried about her for a while is there anything wrong with her or is this normal in cat prgnancy? i suggest going to your local library and looking up books that might help could luck with the kits It sounds like she is due to give birth any time. It started like this with my cat, the "stringy pink blood" you mention is probably just the membrane around the kitten that has come away. She will eventually clean this all away herself. I wouldn't worry too much about any of it. My cat took all day to deliver three healthy kittens and we left her to it for most of that time, not wanting to interfere too much. We just provided a box for her in a quiet place to sleep and feed her kittens. If you are worried, the vet will always give free advice over the phone to put your mind at rest. Good luck. fairycakes has got it bang on, so no need for me to repeat it. good luck! It could be the cervical plug coming out. She will probably give birth very soon. The twitching is probably from the kittens kicking her. Yep souds like she is due just keep an eye on her and make sure she is relaxed at all times good luck |
