Bengal cross kitten not very affectionate?

my 12wk old bengal cross kitten tazz just doesnt seem bothered with me,hes not scared or anything he just doesnt seem to really enjoy being stroked.there are the odd times when hes asleep he purrs when we fuss him.he follows us around and watches us and he gets on well with our other cats and kitten im just not sure that he likes me much.he is very energetic so im wondering if he will be more loving as he grows up and is neutered.are bengal boys usually like this?i know hes a cross but he looks just like a pedigree and acts like a bengal apart from not being very loving.ive had him for 4wks. i love him a lot,i just wish that the feeling was mutual!!!

ive heard that bengals are not that affectionate and like to hunt more than other breeds. i have one cat, Wally who is very very affectionate and another, Fi Fi who is not. it could just be his personality. Wally was not very affectionate as a kitten he preferred to play and chase and hunt but now he's just a big softy who loves lots of cuddles and kisses, whereas Fi Fi is just potty, she likes to just wonder around and do her own thing, oh and take up most of the bed!
xXx

Bengals are not the most affectionate of cats.Burmese are real lapcats, but that wont help you much. I would give him time. He may grow to be affectionate one day

You will find that cats are very solitary creatures, some love being petted and others are quite aloof and want to be left alone, they take a liking to certain people and not others. All you can do is try to encourage him to come to you when he is in the mood, but if he wants to be left alone then leave him. Try glancing away from him instead of looking directly at him, sounds weird but looking directly at a cat is a warning sign, glancing away is a come on. If you notice, when people who don't like cats visit a house with a cat, who is it the cat goes to, the person who doesn't like them usually and they do their best to push the cat away.

4 weeks is not that long, let him settle in more. he just doesn't know you or your house.
it has taken 2 months for my new maine coon to completely settle and trust me and my partner. just give him time and space
they do come around in time.
just keep making time for him, playing and loving him.
hope this helps

i have a bengal and he loves his cuddles even snuggles up to my rottie he sleeps in bed with us my cat loves to be close to us all.. he is 20 weeks now and has been the same as the day i bought him home 12 weeks ago

Take him to the vet...that's what always gets my kitty in the "OMG I'll love you forever if you never take me there again!" mood (at least for about 5 minutes) lol...ok, just kidding.
Anyway, you haven't had him for that long, so that could be a factor. Also, cats are pretty independent (and demanding) creatures. They want your attention when it's a good time for THEM, not when it's convenient for YOU...and they don't really care if you're in the middle of cooking dinner and two phone calls along with trying to help your kid with homework :P Some cats are naturally more affectionate than others, as well. Some just aren't interested. I know this probably doesn't really help, but it's all I know. Good luck :)

we had a kitten that for 2 years would lay next to you but if you pet him he would get up walk away wait for you to look away and come back lol if you fed him a treat he get it and walk away no petting no love then one day another cat we had passed away and was like a new cat came into the house he is not my love cat snuggles and gets kisses no reason why this happen .

I have 2 cats. One doesnt like being picked up and will only allow a cuddles first thing in the morning, but the other cat wants cuddles anytime. Perhaps you are just unlucky to get a cat who is not very tactile. People are like that too, some want hugs and to hold hands and others like to have their own space. I dont think your moggy will change as he gets older. Sorry.
