Bengal Cats and Dogs?

Ok i just got a 5 month old bengal yesterday. I have a resident Pit Bull whom adores cats (believe it or not) But the cat is scared to death of him. The breeder has 2 small dogs and said he should do fine around my dog. But he really isnt. Will the cat ever like my dog? and any tips on what I should do.

again - a good dog will ignore a cat...

feed the cat small amounts (1 teaspoon) of canned only when the dog is in the room.. this will help the cat to associate the dog with good things - obviously you will have to give the dog some treats too...

The cat will eventually get comfortable with the dog. The cat is in a new surrounding, so of course he is going to be scared and uncomfortable meeting a new dog. Give the cat sometime to feel safe around the dog.
