Cute basset hound stories?

My basset hound Abby will not fall asleep in a wrinkled bed. She will turn and turn or just stand there until her bed is wrinkle free. It's so cute. Any cute basset stories to tell?

i dunno if this is cute or not, but, my basset was 8 weeks old when i met her, she was for sale in a pet store i worked in as a yound adult, she was bloated, swollen and coughed non stop. The person who put a deposit on her didnt want her because she was sick, so i started befreinding her, she was treated for a URI, nothing happened, so the vet diagnosed her with congestive heart failure at 12 weeks.

The owner was prepared to offer supportive care and let her die in the store, and i was not willing to let that happen, so he gave her to me to die in a home.

she will be seven years old this year, her kidneys were the problem not her heart, so after a few thousand dollars worth of prescription food and medications she is SPOILED

shes got chronic pancreatitis, an immune definciency and because of her early kidney issues she is not 100% housebroken, but i feel lucky to have met her, because she is the sweetest dog i know and she is hilarious

she jumps as she spins in circles and barks at the same time then wags her tail and jumps in your lap.

My parents' old basset Sloane used to ride around the back yard in a red wagon. We have pictures of my grandpa pulling her in it. She also used to chase the Amish buggies every time they went down our road. Not sure why, but she didn't like them.

I had a male basset hound, Sam- he would sleep on his back next to our aquarium (it was on an end-table that was extremely big) with all his legs up in the air- it was the *only* way that crazy dog would sleep.
Another cute memory I have of him- it had snowed about 2 feet one winter and we let him outside to use the bathroom, and as soon as he hopped off the back stairs, he was completely engulfed in snow. We got really worried, until we saw a trail of snow falling inward and a little black nose peeking up over all the white. He was having a bawl- prancing around as much as he could in all that snow.
I can't wait to have my own home so that I can get another Basset- they're amazing dogs. Great question!

When we got our first basset hound she was the size of a grapefruit. We had never imagined that we were going to get her mother along with her. Even though we didn't plan on having two basset hounds in the house we still love them. Then about 3 years later we adopted another basset hound from the pound. Ever since then we haven't gotten any other dogs and we would never even think of replacing them anyway. because we love them all so very much.

i had a basset hound when i was younger named mortimor. he was incredibly adorable. we had another mixed breed dog as well and they were great friends. when we'd take them to the park, mortimor would try to keep up running with the faster dog, but he sprint for about 30 seconds, then just go limp and rest for a minute, and get up and run again. it was hilarious. i miss him!
