Does anyone else out there own a Basenji?

Um...I own a basenji, and was just wondering if anyone else does, and what they do activity-wise with him/her.

I've got two. My husband and I drive a truck for a living and they come with us. My male has the distinction of having "marked his territory in 48 states" LOL. We have found some awesomely beautiful places walking and hiking with them- they provide our 'refuge from the road' when we get tired of driving and need a break with nature :)

I used to do Lure Coursing with my male, but where I lived, there was too much traveling involved (this was before I drove a truck). Nowadays, I couldn't possibly schedule my runs to coincide with trials, so that's out. It was fun though :).

Both of them enjoy dog parks as well; we try to hit the dog parks when we come home, plus there are several across the country where we can park our truck :)

My cousins had one until he died last year.

He loved to chase people, if we ran he would chase us. Good exercise for all of us.

He also liked to run around like a nut, it is best if you can do this in a fenced area.

They need a lot of exercise, or they will resort to unwanted behaviors.

Yes i have two of them, crazy awsome little dogs arnt they!!! I take them out into the back fields and let them chase mice and little critters..... Other than that just your regular dog stuff.... No competitions or anything
