I've a Basenji + Carrolina mixed breed female dog.? |
Hi, My name is Viju, I'm from India. I've a Basenji + Carrolina mixed breed female dog. The problem is she's having discharge from her eyes from last few days. Even after consulting the vet it's not stopping. Is something very serious or is she suffering from some illness? Please guide as I love my dog a lot. If you have been using medication from the vet and it's not working I would go back and get something else. Sometimes medication will take a few days though to start to work though so maybe give a call first to see if this is the case with the medication you are using. I would call the vet back - I am not a vet, but just from reading the facts, it doesn't sound like anything life threatening, but your vet should know that your dog still has this discharge. He/She may be able to suggest something else. I agree. You must call the vet again and since you love your dog, I know you will. I have a basenj. I think the carolina dog is beautiful, too. What an interesting dog you must have. I would love to see a photo. Email me if you can! A discharge sounds like Conjunctivitis go back to the vet if it not clearing up and try not to come in contact with other dogs she may be getting it again it is contagious |
