If you have a basenji what color? Also, do you take proper care of it? |
I mean like do you have a good yard do you feed it good food does it get plenty of exercise! They are usually reddish brown and bright white. they are natural hunters, from Africa. they get the same care as any other dog, good quality food fresh clean water and all the exercise you can give them yes a good fence is necessary as they are very athletic. And to keep them safe. They are great dogs if you have time to work with them. I have a red and white basenji female. We take a 15 to 20 minute walk in the mornings and a 30 to 45 minute walk in the evenings during the week. About two days a week she goes to a kennel with day boarding and gets a 30 minute walk. On the weekends we go on at least one additional walk for however long (we come back usually when her panting starts to increase). We have lived in an apartment for all nine and half years of her life so far. |
