My Abyssinian cat is loosing his teeth what can i do? |
he is 2 years old Hi there...it's may likely be due to periodontal problems. Infection may still be remaining in the gum tissue and and should be examined by a vet to be treated with necessary medication such as antibiotics. Teeth cleaning may be considered if the other teeth are affected, however without being able to see your kitty only a vet can best determine if this is necessary. how old is it? ask your vet he might be able to set her up with false teeth Take him to the vet. go to a vet for the poor thing! If it's a kitten , nothing. If it's not , see a vet. if the cat is a kitten they grow adult teeth like us, ir it's an older cat it may have some medical promblems that are causing a calicum deficentcy. take your cat to the vet for treatment and a referral to a veterian dentist to find out what the cause of the problem is. I also have had problems with my Aby's teeth, typical for this breed. We have had cleanings and extractions performed which involve sedation. My female had a "hypoxic moment" (lack of oxygen) during her sedation which left her temporarily blind. let me guess you haven't been brushing them! brush your cats teeth at least every week If you got your cat from a breeder I would certainly consult them on the teeth issue. I have heard that it is a problem with that particular breed (who have so much else going for them). |
